A Little Sand in the Pants

I'm just back from a quite spontaneous trip to Tulum Mexico.  Spontaneous was the decision to apply and interview for the retreat with women from all over the world and led by a woman whom I have admired for years for her generosity, vulnerability, and authenticity.

I really don't have much arch do I?
And you know what told me to respond?  It was the urge to want to feel my feet in the sand.  There's something about the tiny pieces of worn down particles between your toes and sloughing off the callouses on your heels that's SO renewing!  It's the rough particles contacting an object that create the smooth shiny surfaces that we consider so beautiful!

Because I SO enjoy the feel of the sand on my feet and I KNOW that where there's sand like this, there's water like the OCEAN which brings SO much perspective, I changed my life forever.  I met 16 women who also had some call to the SACRED place of Tulum.  These women live with purpose, love and support for those around them.  Here we all experienced vulnerability, being supportive, being supported, and true desire for the good of every woman present.  Present is a key word here... living in the present moment.

I could go on and on about the benefits of the time in Tulum with these amazing women eating the best food on earth (raw), but I won't.  I'm not sure I could actually capture all of the little, but gigantic things.  I will say this:  I used to think the best way to ground myself was by attaching to a tree and feeling the roots become my roots, but now I have another layer to grounding.... I have a circle of committed women to ground me.  I can always go there and feel the strength of their whole ever-encircling support.

I am swimming in blessings and getting sand in my pants! :)
