Sunday Vinyasa

Having leisurely mornings is something that I am enjoying immensely as of late.  Today was no different.  I woke up did some correspondence and headed up to my painting project to dot some i's and cross some t's.     Of course I got a bit carried away because I couldn't let good paint go to waste and went into the Little One's closet to add some more to her mural... when I returned to my iPod dock, it said it was past the time to get out of the house for Sunday morning yoga!  DOH!  Plus it's January and it's really full in January.. full of people with great intentions... I'll just leave it at that.  :) I thought, this is the FIRST time I was able to go to this class on a Sunday (with my favorite teacher) and I am going to jet out of here and make it!  And I did... BUT I forgot my badge to get in - thankfully you get one 'forget' time and I know the people at the desk so they know I'm legit.  WHEW! I made it... I'm on the mat.  It'...

 So I'm seeing another side of performance art.... the side of the parent.  GOOD LORD it's INTENSE!  It's so much easier to be in the show and learn the lines/music/choreo over hours and hours of sewing and supervising and re-doing hair and dealing with your OWN kid as they're over-tired, excited and nervous....  Can I get that flex capacitor now?  I'd like to go back and do it all again... knowing this....:) Also, the ballet director spoke tonight at the cast party and mentioned that he loves to direct students in this area because he said they are some of the best students he visits.  I didn't know this, but he travels around the country and does similar shows with students from all over and he always enjoys his stop in MN because the students are 'supported'.  I personally loved his speech before the first show where he said something to the effect of this:  (they were doing the show for about 1000 school children)  "You know that ever...

I LOVE PEOPLE!

Yep... that pretty much sums it up!  What's the best day for me?  It's going out and interacting with as many people as possible (oh and if you include dancing.. BONUS). Today is market day and I HIT it!  I love talking to the vendors asking them about how they produced what they're selling.  I love milling around with other passer-by(s).  I love running into people I know and checking in on them... like a ex-colleague who's daughter is now nearly out of high school!  I hope he didn't mind that I told her to travel in Europe for a year before starting college... :)  She doesn't know what to study in college so I figure a year of traveling might help her with that decision. :) I ran into a yogi friend of mine who had just gotten back from teaching yoga at the jail in town!  I thanked him for doing that.  He (in his BATMAN shirt) says the transformations he sees in the inmates are amazing!  I thought his HUG was amazing so he must be d...
